Making global changes

Sage Cover Extra webinars

There may be times when you need to make changes to many, or all of your employees at the same time. For example, you may want to increase the basic salary for all employees by 5% or assign them a pension scheme.

Your software's Global Changes option helps you to make changes to multiple employees' records quickly and easily, removing the need to amend each record individually.

Tip: Global Changes only affect employees in the company currently open. If you have more than one company, you must perform the changes in each one separately.

You can:

For a list of all the global changes you can make, see What changes can be made globally?

Making global changes

From the employee list select the relevant employees > Tasks > Global changes. Select the option required. For example, Departments > Assign Employee(s) to Department.

Depending on the task, the way in which you make the global change varies. Please follow the on-screen instructions.
